The IZAA is short for the Iota Zeta Alumni Association, which is a Local Alumni Association, also known as an LAA. An LAA is an organized local groups of alumni that is recognized by the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association. LAAs may be based on a city, chapter, district, or geographic region. Ours is centered around our undergraduate chapter of Iota Zeta, and more broadly the Savannah State University band program. We are a registered non-profit organization.

Our goal is to support the undergraduate chapter of Iota Zeta and the band program, while also having our own impact and identity. As a group of Alumni, we are focused on continuing to establish and carve out our bond as Alumni IZ sisters - so that as we continue to welcome more IZ Alumni to our group, we have a strong foundation and distinctive Alumni Sisterhood that will sustain us for a lifetime.

The additional $34 is reserved for the IZAA, and contributes yearly to initiatives such as water for SSU band camp, IZAA scholarships, providing meals for the band at special events such as Homecoming, and funding of service projects and fundraisers. Your dues will also include an IZAA T-shirt.
